Walking Through Standards Based Grading: Part 2

For this next post, I am going to break down the why of standards based grading.


Since we are all super familiar with the traditional style of grading, many teachers have asked why we should implement standards based grading. Hopefully I can shed some light...


To break it down, standards based grading helps teachers do three big things: 


Let's start with the first one, establish learning goals:

Next, standards based grading helps teachers create or use clear assessments:





*My assessments will help those that are already in standards based grading, are just starting out with standards based grading, or are not using it at all. I have created these assessments to help EVERY SINGLE teacher, no matter their style. Click HERE to check them out.
